Whistleblowers Protection Bill 2011

The Bill would protect employees who, reasonably and honestly, report suspected crimes, legal breaches, miscarriages of justice, dangers to health or safety, environmental damage, or efforts to hide such wrongdoing. It would shield them from civil claims and workplace retaliation, including dismissal, and allow complaints to be investigated with possible reinstatement or compensation.
