Criminal Justice (Community Service) (Amendment) Bill 2011

Courts would have to consider community service instead of prison when a sentence of up to six months would otherwise be appropriate. Probation officers would assess suitability, and the changes would update how courts, residence changes and compliance are handled, allowing both District and Circuit Courts to manage these orders.
