Bretton Woods Agreements (Amendment) Bill 2011

The Bill would allow Ireland to formally accept two 2008 changes to the International Monetary Fund’s rules. One would increase countries’ basic voting rights and adjust representation on the IMF’s board; the other would broaden the Fund’s investment powers, including how profits from gold sales can be invested.
