Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland (Amendment) Bill 2011
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
It would let the Financial Services Ombudsman publish and report on consumer complaints against regulated financial firms, including the complaints themselves, how they were investigated, and the outcomes. It also gives the Ombudsman’s reports more detail, including the names of firms involved, so the public and Oireachtas can better see patterns of poor conduct and how complaints are handled.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to make provision to empower the Financial Services Ombudsman to report on investigations and adjudications of regulated financial service providers arising from consumer complaints made about the conduct of regulated financial service providers
