Advertising, Labelling and Presentation of Fast Food at Fast Food Outlets Bill 2011

The proposal would require fast-food chains and franchises with at least 10 outlets in Ireland to display the calories in each menu item, and the percentage of a suggested daily calorie intake it represents, clearly at the point of sale. The same information would have to appear in all advertising; breaches could lead to enforcement action and fines of up to €3,000.
