Burial and Cremation Regulation Bill 2011

The proposal would create an independent, self-financing Burial and Cremation Regulatory Authority to approve and license cemeteries and crematoria, funded by fees on their operators. It would require advance notice of opening or closure, proper maintenance, inspections and approval before cremations, while giving the Authority national responsibility for the long-term maintenance of cemeteries.
