Employment Equality (Amendment) Bill 2012

The bill would remove any exception allowing certain institutions to discriminate against employees or job applicants because of their civil status or sexual orientation, including by favouring others on those grounds. It would also clarify that civil status includes being in, or formerly being in, a civil partnership or qualifying cohabitation, strengthening equality protections in employment, training and membership of certain bodies.
