Nuclear Weapons (Prohibition of Investments) Bill 2012

The Bill would stop public money, including State pension funds, being invested in companies that make nuclear weapons, their components or delivery systems. It would require existing investments to be sold, restrict investment through funds or other financial products, and create a public register of relevant companies. Investments based on financial-market indexes would not be covered, and the Minister for Finance would have to report on compliance.
