Transport (Córas Iompair Éireann and Subsidiary Companies Borrowings) Bill 2012

Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) and its subsidiary companies—Irish Rail, Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus—would be able to borrow up to €300 million for day-to-day, non-capital needs, up from €107 million. The companies could use their property as security, and subsidiaries could borrow with CIÉ board approval; existing rules on State guarantees would be removed and the borrowing arrangements consolidated.
