Cyberbullying Bill 2013

Creates a standalone criminal offence of cyberbullying, covering harmful messages, images, videos and other electronic communications, as well as helping or encouraging it. Parents who knowingly and continuously allow their child’s cyberbullying, or recklessly ignore it, could face mandatory parenting courses and possible prosecution; proceedings involving children would follow existing child justice rules.
