ESB (Electronic Communications Networks) Bill 2013

The Bill would expressly allow ESB to build, operate and provide electronic communications networks and services, either alone or with another company, and let other companies use its electricity infrastructure for that purpose. It would also extend ESB’s rights to cross private land, with compensation where appropriate, while excluding powers to attach communications equipment to buildings.
