NAMA and Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Transparency Bill 2013

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

The proposal would require NAMA and the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation to publish details online of loans, properties and other assets they were selling or approving for sale. Information would include the asset’s address and description, the seller and agent, all offers received and, after agreement, the final sale price; listings would have to appear for at least four weeks before offers were accepted. The aim was to make sales more open and help protect taxpayers’ interests.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to provide that, in the interests of transparency, all relevant details of loans, properties, or other assets offered for sale by or with the approval of NAMA or the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation be available to the public by means of publication on a website
