Electoral, Local Government and Planning and Development Bill 2013

The measure updates European Parliament election rules, making it easier for EU citizens living in Ireland to stand for election while allowing checks with their home country. It also changes electoral registers and deadlines for postal and special voting, creates a process for reviewing European Parliament constituencies, and requires political parties to give more detail about donations. In addition, it adjusts planning reviews during local-authority mergers and permits a shared manager for Waterford City and County.
