Betting (Amendment) Bill 2013
Public bill · Government · Presented
The Betting (Amendment) Bill 2013 would require online bookmakers and betting exchanges, wherever they are based, to obtain Irish licences, meet tax requirements and appear on public registers. It would strengthen checks on operators, protect under-18s, allow licences to be refused or revoked, and enable authorities to tackle illegal betting through penalties, advertising bans, blocked websites and restrictions on related bank accounts.
