Local Government (Town Centres) Bill 2013

Each county and city council would have to establish a town team to create and carry out a plan to revitalise town centres. The team would include councillors, local businesses, public bodies and An Garda Síochána, and could address vacant shops, investment, parking charges, public safety, anti-social behaviour and cultural activities, with the Minister setting guidelines and deadlines.

Bill entitled an Act to make provision for the establishment by each local authority of a town team, such team to be responsible for the making and implementation of a town revitalisation plan, the aim of such plan being the revitalisation of town centres and to provide for related matters
