Broadcasting (Amendment) Bill 2014

The Broadcasting (Amendment) Bill 2014, introduced by Stephen Donnelly, would change broadcasters’ duties under the Broadcasting Act 2009. It would remove the word “offence” and instead require broadcasters not to transmit material that could reasonably be seen as harmful, likely to promote or encourage crime, or likely to weaken the authority of the State.
