Electoral (Amendment) (No. 3) Bill 2014
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
Changes the voting rules for polling stations on islands in elections, referendums and presidential elections. It removes an older provision from the general election rules and updates the presidential and referendum laws so that island polling stations follow the remaining voting procedure, with related regulations to be set by the Minister. This matters because it simplifies and standardises how people vote on islands.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to amend the Electoral Act 1992, the Referendum Act 1994 and the Presidential Elections Act 1993 in order to change island voting and to provide for related matters
