Public bill · Government · Presented
The Bill would allow Teagasc to develop and operate Johnstown Castle’s castle and gardens near Wexford as a heritage, tourism, amenity or recreational attraction, including leasing them for those purposes with the Minister’s consent. It would also allow a small amount of Estate land to be sold for a local burial ground, while keeping the existing 5% limit on land disposals. The Estate would remain State-owned and there would be no direct cost to the Exchequer.
