Water Services (Taking in Charge of Estates by Local Authorities) (Amendment) Bill 2014
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
The proposal would prevent the transfer of local-authority property to Irish Water from delaying a local authority’s taking responsibility for private housing estates. In practice, it aims to ensure that estates can be formally taken in charge without waiting for water-related assets to be transferred. It would amend the 2013 water-services law and begin operating on a date set by the Minister.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to make provision which will ensure that no delay on the taking in charge of private housing estates by a local authority shall occur as a result of a transfer of property by a local authority to Irish Water
