Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland (Amendment) Bill 2014

It would strengthen the Financial Services Ombudsman’s role in handling consumer complaints about financial firms, making it easier to investigate complaints, press firms to take part in mediation, and issue clearer outcomes. It would also move appeals from the High Court to the Circuit Court, which could make the process quicker and less costly for consumers.
