Immigration (Reform) (Regularisation of Residency Status) Bill 2014

People whose applications for asylum, subsidiary protection or permission to remain have been undecided for at least four years could receive renewable residence permits lasting at least three years, with rights to work, travel, healthcare, education and welfare. Similar permits could be available where deportation orders remain unenforced for at least a year and are unlikely to be carried out soon, subject to public-safety safeguards.
