Finance Bill 2014 changes a wide range of taxes and duties. It reduces some income-tax and USC rates, raises tobacco taxes, extends reliefs for farmers, businesses, energy-efficient equipment, start-ups and home renovations, and strengthens Revenue’s powers to tackle tax avoidance, VAT fraud and poor tax compliance.
