Roads (Criminal Activity) (Amendment) Bill 2015

The proposal would require the National Roads Authority to install CCTV cameras at every junction or exit on motorways and national primary roads. Gardaí could use the cameras to help detect criminal activity involving the motorway network, while the Roads Authority would maintain them as part of its normal road-network duties. The Transport Minister would decide when the measure would come into effect.
