Finance (Local Property Tax) (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill 2015

The measure would keep existing Local Property Tax valuations in place until 1 November 2019, delaying the next revaluation and extending certain related exemptions. It would widen and lengthen tax exemptions for homes seriously damaged by pyrite, including some properties repaired through official schemes, insurance or builders, and allow refunds in some cases. It would also extend relief for homes bought or adapted for people with severe disabilities, including a fixed €50,000 reduction in taxable value for qualifying adaptations.
