Following a court ruling that made the Government’s method of banning certain drugs unconstitutional, the Bill would put those substances—including ecstasy, some benzodiazepines and “headshop” drugs—directly into the list of controlled drugs. It would also confirm earlier drug-control orders and take effect immediately after passage.
