The Multi-Unit Developments (Amendment) Bill 2015 would clarify which developments count as multi-unit developments: buildings containing at least five homes under the same roof, where residents are expected to share internal facilities and services. The change is intended to help councils apply the law more quickly when taking responsibility for unfinished housing estates. It was a Private Member’s Bill introduced by Catherine Murphy.
