Garda Síochána (Amendment) Bill 2015

The Garda Síochána (Amendment) Bill 2015 would create a dedicated Garda Public Order Unit for Dublin city centre, responsible for improving and maintaining public safety. It would require cooperation with Dublin City Council and other city-centre organisations, quarterly reports to the council and annual reports to the Oireachtas, while allowing the Justice Minister to approve additional city-centre units.
