Health (General Practitioner Service) Bill 2015
Public bill · Government · Presented
People aged 70 and over who normally live in Ireland would automatically receive GP care without paying, without needing a means-tested card. Their dependants, including spouses or partners, could also qualify if household income is within set limits, making access to primary healthcare more affordable for older people and eligible family members.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to amend the Health Act 1970 to provide for the making available without charge of a general practitioner medical and surgical service to persons who are ordinarily resident in the State and who have attained the age of 70 years, and to certain other persons; and to provide for related matters
