Public Transport Bill 2015
Public bill · Government · Presented
Updates transport laws without introducing a new policy. It would clarify the National Transport Authority’s power to provide infrastructure such as Bus Rapid Transit, tighten and clarify taxi licensing rules, including for technology-based booking services and wheelchair-accessible taxis, rename the Railway Safety Commission, and correct rules on airport penalty notices and hit-and-run offences.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to amend and extend the Dublin Transport Authority Act 2008, the Taxi Regulation Act 2013 and the Railway Safety Act 2005, to amend section 27 of the State Airports Act 2004 and section 106 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 and to change the name of the Railway Safety Commission
