Intoxicating Liquor (Breweries and Distilleries) Bill 2016

Would let breweries, distilleries, cider makers and perry makers that welcome visitors on guided tours sell their own products directly to those visitors. The sales could be for drinking on the premises or taking away, but only the drink made there, only between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., and not on Good Friday or Christmas Day. A new licence would be available from the Revenue Commissioners, and using it wrongly could lead to a fine. It matters because many Irish craft producers are tourist attractions, but at present they may need a pub or off-licence to sell their own drink to visitors.
