The proposal would remove the postal price cap that currently limits how much can be charged for universal postal services, and it would end any existing price-cap decision. It would also give ComReg the power to review the effects of that change, starting two years after the law comes into force, consult as needed, and report its findings to the Minister within six months, with the report then laid before the Oireachtas.
