Health (Amendment) Bill 2016

Public bill · Government · Presented

The Health (Amendment) Bill 2016 would give disability residential centres two extra years—until 31 October 2018—to meet the standards needed for formal registration with HIQA. HIQA would continue inspecting and monitoring the centres during this period, while the extension would allow older facilities more time to improve and support the planned move away from large congregated settings.
