Health (Amendment) (Professional Home Care) Bill 2016

Sets up a formal system to regulate professional home care for adults living at home, with clear standards, assessments, care plans, complaint handling, training, supervision and safeguards on medication, money and property. It would also give HIQA stronger oversight and create a register of professional home carers, aiming to improve safety, quality and accountability in home care.
