Court Funds Administration Bill 2017

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

Creates outside scrutiny of money held by the courts for Wards of Court, so the public body can audit how the fund is managed and how it performs. It is meant to improve transparency and give families better access to information about where these funds are invested and how they are handled. It also extends similar oversight to certain other court-managed funds and related decision-making arrangements.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to allow for the operation of the Fund of Wards of Court by the Courts Service to be subject to audit and scrutiny by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General
