Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Bill 2017

Lifts some of the legal limits on the ESB’s powers so it can carry out works to manage water levels in the Shannon Lakes — Lough Derg, Lough Ree and Lough Allen. It also updates a 1934 law to allow things like controlling water levels, carrying out divers and other works, and dredging or deepening channels.
