European Communities (Brexit) Bill 2017

Requires the Government to keep the Oireachtas informed about Brexit talks with the UK. It would add a yearly report on EU developments, a report to the Dáil before withdrawal talks begin on the Government’s approach, and quarterly updates once negotiations are under way, including the rights of people living in Northern Ireland and the UK’s commitments under the Good Friday Agreement.

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the amendment of the European Communities Act 1972, so as to ensure the Government reports to the Oireachtas on negotiations regarding the United Kingdom's intention to withdraw from the European Union; and to provide for related matters.
