Inland Fisheries (Amendment) Bill 2017

Public bill · Government · Presented

Gives Inland Fisheries Ireland a clear legal power to bring and prosecute minor court cases for inland fisheries offences, fixing a gap in the current law. It also tidies up the 2010 Act by adding missed references and penalties so the rules on offences and enforcement work properly. That matters because it strengthens enforcement against illegal fishing and removes doubt about who can take prosecutions.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to amend the Inland Fisheries Act 2010 to provide for Inland Fisheries Ireland to have power to bring summary proceedings for certain offences; to provide for certain penalties; and to provide for related matters
