Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (Gender Pay Gap Information) Bill 2017
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
Requires employers with 50 or more staff to publish figures showing whether men and women are paid differently, and by how much. The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission would be able to set the exact reporting rules, including what pay details to publish, how often, and how to break the data down by full-time or part-time status and age. Employers that fail to follow the scheme could face a fine.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to require certain employers to publish information relating to the pay of employees for the purpose of showing whether there are differences in the pay of male and female employees and, if so, the nature and scale of such differences; for that purpose to amend the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission Act 2014; and to provide for related matters
