Health and Safety (Funfair) (Amendment) Bill 2017

Sets out stronger safety duties for funfair operators and gives the Health and Safety Authority a clearer role in checking compliance. It says operators must not intentionally injure people or show reckless disregard for their safety, and must take reasonable care to keep fairground equipment in safe condition for public use. It also creates penalties for failing to do so, including fines and possible jail terms.
