Legal Metrology (Measuring Instruments) Bill 2017

Sets out the legal rules needed to align Ireland with EU standards for measuring instruments sold or used here. It identifies the types of measuring devices covered and says the agreed EU requirements will apply when they are put into use for trade, with exhaust gas analysers covered for environmental protection. It also provides for the usual administrative costs and a commencement date to be set by the Minister.
