Housing (Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability) Bill 2018

A private member’s bill from Willie O’Dea, introduced in December 2018, aimed to make it easier for people with disabilities to get a housing adaptation grant. It would require local authorities to process grant applications within four weeks where practical and set out the documents needed, including a completed form, expert recommendation, occupational therapist report, and two cost estimates. It also allowed the Minister to make supporting regulations.
