No. 142 of 2018Consumer Protection (Gift Vouchers) Bill 2018
Public bill · Government · Presented
Sets a minimum five-year expiry period for gift vouchers, and requires traders to tell customers when vouchers will expire. It also bans two common voucher restrictions: forcing people to spend the full value in one purchase, and charging a fee to change the name on a voucher. The aim is to make gift vouchers fairer and more usable for consumers.
