National Infrastructure Bill 2018

Creates a National Infrastructure Commission to advise the Government on major economic infrastructure, including energy, transport, water, waste, flood protection and digital communications. The commission would produce a five-yearly long-term infrastructure assessment, carry out focused studies on pressing problems, and publish yearly monitoring reports on progress against its recommendations. It would also be independent, have five members, keep accounts, publish annual reports, and answer to Oireachtas committees.

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the establishment of a body to be known as the National Infrastructure Commission to advise government on all sectors of economic infrastructure and to provide for related matters.
