All Terrain Vehicle Safety Bill 2018

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

Aimed at reducing accidents involving quad bikes and other all-terrain vehicles, the proposal would require better safety gear in workplaces and would give the Road Safety Authority a role in reviewing whether anti-roll bars should be made mandatory on these vehicles. It matters because it focuses on both the design of the vehicles and how they are used, especially in farming and other off-road work settings where injuries can be serious.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to regulate the safety standards of the composition of all terrain vehicles and to regulate health and safety practises in use of all terrain vehicles in the workplace.
