Children and Family Relationships (Amendment) Bill 2018
Public bill · Government · Presented
Changes a small but important part of the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015 so that a typing and technical mistake can be fixed. That correction would let the parts of the law dealing with children conceived using donated eggs, sperm, or embryos be brought into force, and it also gives the Minister for Health the power to make the needed regulations. In practical terms, it clears the way for those family-law protections to start working as intended.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to amend the Children and Family Relationships Act 2015; and to provide for related matters.
