Property Services (Advertisement of Unfit Lettings) (Amendment) Bill 2019

The proposal would give the Property Services Authority power to order letting agents and online platforms to take down adverts for rental homes that do not meet basic housing and fire safety standards. It would also let people complain about such adverts, and make it an offence not to remove them within seven days, with fines or up to three months in prison possible for non-compliance.

Bill entitled an Act to amend the Property Services (Regulation) Act 2011 to provide for the removal of advertisements of unfit rental lettings and to provide for related matters.
