Intoxicating Liquor (Amendment) Bill 2019

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

The measure would let events that need a drinks licence use temporary structures such as tents and marquees. It would change the current rule that blocks an occasional licence for a dance if the event is held in the open air or in a tent, marquee, or similar structure. In plain terms, it would make it easier to host licensed social events outdoors or in temporary venues.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to amend the Intoxicating Liquor Act 1962 and to provide for related matters.
