Hospital Parking Bill 2021
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
Free parking for up to three hours would be provided in public hospital car parks when the driver or a passenger is attending out-patient services. If a car park becomes too full because of this rule, the free-parking entitlement could be suspended there, and existing free-parking arrangements would still be allowed to continue. This matters because it would reduce costs for people making repeated hospital visits, while still allowing hospitals to manage parking when spaces are scarce.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to provide for parking free of charge for persons attending out-patient services in public hospitals; and to provide for related matters.
