CervicalCheck Tribunal (Amendment) Bill 2021
Public bill · Government · Presented
Extends the time people have to bring compensation claims to the CervicalCheck Tribunal, giving eligible claimants an extra six months beyond the current deadline. It also allows the Minister for Health to lengthen that claims period again by order, up to a further six months. The change matters because it gives more time to people affected by the CervicalCheck issues to come forward and seek redress.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to amend the CervicalCheck Tribunal Act 2019 to extend the period for the making of claims for compensation to the CervicalCheck Tribunal; to provide that the Minister may by order extend that period; and to provide for related matters.
