Personal Injuries Assessment Board (Amendment) Bill 2022

Would make it an offence to knowingly give false or misleading information to the Personal Injuries Assessment Board when making a claim or when responding to requests for extra information during an assessment. It also covers false information given to help assessors check details from experts or other third parties. The aim is to stop fake claims and make it harder to use false information against genuine claimants, with fines or up to six months in prison possible under the existing penalty rules.
